2-hour Quality Endorsed holistic courses with the busy holistic practitioner in mind. Each takes place on a Tuesday or Saturday morning throughout Autumn/Winter 2017-18 .
Our mini workshops are designed to help you succeed in your business or to enhance your teaching and presenting skills.
Each workshop represents 2 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

What Makes a Good Workshop?

Cost: £25 if booked before 9th Sept. / £30 thereafter.
What are the keys to delivering quality and consistency in courses and workshops? This workshop will introduce the concepts of planning, teaching, learning and assessment. We will touch on some of the different ways people learn and how we can use a wide range of methods (academic and holistic) to teach them.
This workshop would be a good introduction to any practitioners interested in taking the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, a nationally recognised award for those practitioners who would like a formal teaching qualification to support their work.

Essential Teaching Skills
Tutor: Karen Goodson
A new two-part introduction to teaching and training for holistic practitioners who do not currently hold a recognised teaching qualification.
Graham Boston Cert. NLP has a background in publishing, advertising and web design. He published Connections magazine (an holistic events guide) for 21 years and runs a variety of training courses for small businesses. He also helps The Isbourne with its marketing and is co-author with James Hunt of a series of 16 Career Fulfillment Guides, based on ideas derived from the psychologist Carl Jung. He runs The Gloucestershire Holistic Networking Group and co-runs DanceJourney with Jo-Anne Hale.
Kathryn Buxton is a meditation teacher, teaching workshops for small groups, for businesses and also runs popular, day long, silent meditation retreats.
She also teaches on the 'Introduction to Holistic Living' Level 2 course and previously worked in the state sector for 25 years teaching in primary schools.
She runs teaching and learning workshops for Isbourne College tutors and is the College Manager.
Karen Goodsen is a therapist with over 30 years experience in personal development, coaching, mentoring and teaching. She has taught the Level 3 Award in Education and Training for the Recovery College in Gloucestershire and is also teaching on the Isbourne College Level 3 course designed for holistic practitioners. She was given the Outstanding Tutor, Excellence in Teaching Award last year by Gloucestershire.
